Downsfield Medical Centre is still here for you, but how you access our services has changed due to COVID-19. If you are feeling unwell or if you have any health symptoms that you are worried about, please call us to make an appointment on 0121 743 2626. We are open and fully operational, but we can no longer see walk-in patients without an appointment. For more information visit:

Consultations are by appointment, please call 0121 743 2626  to book. Most appointments can be booked up to six weeks in advance.

For an emergency/same day appointment please call on the day at 09:00 or 16:00. These slots are allocated over the telephone.

Online Services: Note: You will first need to obtain login details from the Practice. You need to sign in your disclaimer. Visit online services tab for more information.

Telephone Consultation

If you feel that your problem can be dealt with over the telephone rather than by visiting the surgery you can book a telephone consultation. You will be asked for some brief details and given an approximate time when the doctor will call you back.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
